Do you want to work on unique machines that you see at international clients? As a Mechanical Engineer at OMVE Netherlands B.V., you translate customer requirements into smart, manufacturable, and innovative designs. You ensure that technology works not only on paper but also in practice.
You work on customer-specific high-tech installations for the food industry. No standard products, but constantly new technical challenges in which your design makes a visible impact.
For our location in De Meern, we are looking for a colleague for the position of:
Mechanical Engineer (Medior, 32 – 40 hours p/w)
You design high-tech machines that are deployed worldwide

What will you be doing?
- As a Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for the complete mechanical design within projects.
- Designing, checking, updating, and developing production drawings
- Translating customer requirements into technical solutions
- Delivering a mechanical design, including the translation of the detailed process design and the machine parts list.
- Supporting the sales department with technical advice and information.
- Assessing and implementing improvements originating from the organization. Monitoring your own schedule.
- Keeping your technical knowledge up to date
- Contributing to continuous improvement
Who do you work with?
You collaborate with colleagues from mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, as well as with sales, production, and suppliers.
What do you bring?
- HBO Mechanical Engineering or similar, or MBO Mechatronics with applicable experience
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in design from concept to execution
- Experience with 3D CAD (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Good command of Dutch and English
- Experience with PDM and/or the food industry is a plus
- Living within 50 km of our office

- A salary in which you, as a mid-level professional, can grow to €5,000 gross per month (full-time). We base this on your applicable experience.
