You design high-tech custom machines and determine the technical standard
As an experienced Mechanical Engineer, do you want to work on complex, customer-specific machines that are deployed worldwide? At OMVE Netherlands B.V., you get the space to put your experience to good use: you not only translate customer wishes into smart designs but also take the lead in technical choices, optimization, and standardization.
You work on innovative installations for the food industry, often focused on process development, fluid handling, and pilot-scale applications. No standard solutions, but technical challenges where your expertise makes the difference.
What makes this role interesting for you?
- Working on technically complex and customer-specific machine building projects within a high-tech environment.
- A high degree of independence and responsibility: you are the owner of the mechanical design.
- Influence on technical choices, standards, and improvements within the organization.
- Direct insight into the end result in our own production and test environment.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Room to actively apply your knowledge for innovation and optimization.
What will you be doing?
As a Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for mechanical design and act as a technical sparring partner within projects:
- Designing and developing complex machine concepts in SolidWorks (from concept to realization).
- Translating process and customer requirements into manufacturable, scalable technical solutions.
- Integrating process engineering (e.g., fluid flows, thermal processes) into mechanical designs.
- Guiding less experienced engineers within projects.
- Initiating and implementing improvements regarding design standards, efficiency, and quality.
- Actively contributing to knowledge retention and the technical direction of the department.
- Monitoring your own schedule, quality, and technical feasibility.
Who will you be working with?
You will work closely with colleagues from process, electrical, and software engineering, as well as with sales, production, the product manager, and external suppliers. In your role, you have a connecting and guiding influence within the project team.
What do you bring?

- Knowledge of relevant standards, manufacturability, and production processes.
- Experience with multidisciplinary projects and stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to substantiate technical choices.
- Good communication skills.
- Proactive attitude.
- Good command of Dutch and English.
