Test Engineer
You ensure that innovative process installations function perfectly before they go out into the world.
As a Test Engineer at OMVE Netherlands B.V., you are responsible for testing, inspecting, and releasing our high-tech pilot and R&D installations for the food industry. You ensure that our machines function technically perfectly, safely, and fully according to specifications before they are shipped to customers.
You work closely with colleagues from Engineering, Production, and Support and are a key link in safeguarding the quality for which OMVE is known worldwide.

In this role, you combine technology, quality, and problem-solving skills. You work daily on unique machines used by leading international food companies, universities, and research institutes. No two machines are the same, which keeps your work challenging and varied.
You will be given significant responsibility in the final and most crucial part of the production process. Thanks to your expertise, installations leave our facility in optimal condition. Additionally, you will have ample opportunity to suggest improvements to test methods, procedures, and quality standards.
What will you be doing?
- You will accurately test, calibrate, and adjust process installations.
- You will check electrical, mechanical, and software functionalities according to established test protocols.
- You will supervise and perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
- You will record test results and share findings with Engineering.
- You will analyze deviations and propose improvements for quality and reliability.
- You will assist in drafting and optimizing test procedures.
- You will ensure that installations fully comply with quality and safety requirements before being released for shipment.
What do you bring?
- MBO-4 or HBO working and thinking level, preferably in the field of Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Process Engineering.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience testing, adjusting, or maintaining technical installations.
- Knowledge of PLC controls, measurement and control technology, or process installations is a plus.
- You work accurately, in a structured manner, and quality-oriented, and you can perform well under deadline pressure.
- You have a solution-oriented mindset.
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
- You live within a 50 km radius of De Meern, Utrecht.
