For our location in Milton Ontario we are looking for a colleague for the position of:

 

 International Service Engineer – Technical Support

 

What will you do?
As a Service Engineer, you are part of our Americas Service team. As part of the Service Team, you are co-responsible for installing, commissioning, training, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and supporting our customers remote with questions related to our process equipment within the Americas Region.

After testing, the customer is invited to our factory in The Netherlands for a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). As Service Engineer you will follow the FAT remotely or onsite. When the FAT is successful, commissioning, SAT and training can be planned. From that point, the Service Department takes over.

The machines also require maintenance. You resolve faults on-site if they cannot be resolved remotely. In addition, you also give customer service by assisting the customer with incoming questions and malfunctions/problems.

You are often on location for a few days, this is within the Americas Region. You are away from home for a maximum of two weeks. This will be a maximum of 50% of your working time. So have fun traveling, but be able to stay at home for the weekends.

 

What are you bringing us? 

  • You have a diploma as an Electrical Engineering Technician or equivalent.
  • You like traveling abroad, this concerns between 25-50% of the time.
  • Knowledge and experience with PLC controls is a pre.
  • You preferably live in the region Toronto GTA.
  • You have good social and communication skills.
  • You enjoy looking for improvements and solutions.
  • You can work independently and like to take the initiative.
  • You are structured and stress-resistant.
  • You have an excellent command of the English language.
  • Speaking French, Portuguese or Spanish is an advantage.
  • Experience with a CRM or Helpdesk system is a pre
  • You have a solid knowledge of reading electrical drawings and flow diagrams.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
