You build and test high-tech machines deployed worldwide
Do you want to work on innovative process systems for the food industry? At OMVE Lab & Pilot Equipment, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing high-quality pilot and R&D systems used globally by leading food companies, universities, and research institutions.
You will work in a modern production environment where technology, quality, and collaboration are central. Thanks to your craftsmanship, our systems operate reliably and safely before being handed over to the testing department and, ultimately, to our customers.
Why is this role interesting for you?
In this position, you see the direct results of your work. You do not build standard products; instead, you work on unique, customer-specific machines that combine electrical engineering, automation, and process technology.
You are given significant responsibility within the assembly process and work closely with colleagues from Engineering, Testing, and Service. Additionally, there is plenty of scope to propose improvements and further develop your skills within a high-tech technical environment.
What will you be doing?
• Assembling, mounting, and adjusting machine parts, modules, and complete systems based on technical drawings and work instructions.
• Performing mechanical assembly and piping work.
• Carrying out basic electrical assembly and connection tasks.
• Gathering, checking, and assembling parts and components.
• Checking your own work and participating in quality checks based on the „four-eyes principle.“
• Occasionally assisting with inspection, testing, and handover activities.
• Rectifying identified issues and contributing ideas for technical improvements.
• Collaborating with colleagues from Production, Engineering, Testing, and Service.
• Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organized workplace.
Who will you be working with?
You will be part of an experienced and dedicated production team. You will also collaborate regularly with colleagues from Engineering, Testing, and Service. This collaboration ensures you are closely involved in the entire build process of our machines, from assembly to final testing.
What do you bring to the table?
• MBO-4 level of education and proficiency (vocational/technical college) in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in machine building, equipment manufacturing, or installation technology.
• Knowledge of technical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• An affinity for mechanical assembly and technology in general.
• At least basic knowledge of electrical engineering.
• Good command of Dutch and, preferably, English.
• A precise and quality-oriented work ethic.
• A solution-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
• Residence within a 50 km radius of De Meern, Utrecht.
What do we offer you?
• An informal, technical work environment with short lines of communication.
• A high degree of freedom and responsibility.
• An immediate one-year contract, with the prospect of a permanent position.
• A gross monthly salary between €2,700 and €4,000 (full-time), depending on your experience, technical knowledge, and contribution to the team.
• 25 vacation days + 13 ADV days (reduction of working hours/extra leave days) (full-time).
• A solid pension scheme (PMT) in accordance with the Metalworking Industry Collective Labour Agreement (CAO).
• Opportunities for personal development and training.
• A fully equipped gym right at the office. Want to work out before your day starts or after work? It’s up to you.
